A TORPEDO has been lost to the Westward of Lamma Island. A reward of $50 is offered for its recovery. Any person finding the torpedo should communicate with the Captain of H.M.S. Ambrose.

The Astronomical positions are only approximate unless seconds are given. The bearings are given both True and Magnetic, and those relating to lights are from scaward. The visibility of lights is that in clear weather. Fog signals are sounded only in thick or foggy weather. The elevation given is the height of focal plane above high water.

NORTH COAST.

Port Darwin-Existence of Dangers.

THE following uncharted dangers in Port Darwin (Lat. 12° 28′ S., Long. 130° 51′ E.) are reported by H.M.A.S. Brisbane:

(a) Position-At a distance of 7 cables bearing 89° from Tale Head northern

extremity.

Description. A rock (old coral) dries 3 feet L.W.S.T.

(b) Position. At a distance of 91% cables bearing 140° from Talc Head northern

extremity.

Description.-A rock (old coral) dries 5 feet L.W.S.T.

(c) Position. At a distance of 6% cables bearing 48° from Tale Head northern

extremity.

Description. A three fathom patch.
