No. S. 53. The following Bills were read a first time at a meeting of the Council held on the 26th February, 1920:-

A BILL

Short title.

Amendment

INTITULED.

An Ordinance to amend the Non-Ferrous Metal

Industry Ordinance, 1919.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Non-Ferrous Metal Industry Amendment Ordinance, 1920.

2. Paragraph (d) of the definition of the term of Ordinance poration under prohibited control" in the First Schedule to the Non-Ferrous Metal Industry Ordinance, 1919, is deleted and the following paragraph is substituted therefor

Where the executive is a corporation under prohibited control, or where the majority of the executive are appointed by a corporation under prohibited control.

Objects and Reasons.

The object of this bill is to correct an obvious drafting error in Ordinance No. 1 of 1919.

(Prohibited Control) Ordinance, 1919.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Banking Busi- ness (Prohibited Control) Amendment Ordinance, 1920.

The object of this bill is to correct an obvious draft-

ing error in Ordinance No. 2 of 1919.
