Translations into Chinese, for the information of the Chinese portion of the Community, of some

of the Government Notifications are inserted

herein, but it is to be understood that in case of

variance in the sense of the English and Chinese

versions, the sense of the English text must be considered as correct.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Tenders will be received at this Office, until noon on Wednesday, the 10th proximo, for the supply of the undermentioned Articles for the use of the Police Department, from the First day of January, to the Thirtieth day of June, 1880.

The above enumerated Articles must be of good quality, deliverable at the Central Police Barracks,

at such times and in such quantities as may be

required.

Forms of tender and

further information

can be obtained on application at the Office of the Captain Superintendent of Police.

No Tenders will be received unless made out

in the required form.
