LO-LIN-KIU, declared, states:-I am 17 years of age. I am a servant. The 1st Defendant is my I came over with her and four others, to Hongkong, from Macao, where we have lived more o ten years. I recognize the 3rd Defendant. I was taken to her house. She confined my two sisters myself in a room and pressed us to become prostitutes. She would not let us leave the house. 1 rried, and she locked us up. My foster-mother was not present when the 3rd Defendant pressed us e prostitutes. I heard nothing about money between the 1st Defendant and myself. I remained the house until the Inspector came to us. We came over to Hongkong as my inistress, the 1st itelis,laut, brought us over here in connection with a feast.

Hy Mr. Shanp:---I did not know that the house was a brothel in which I had been taken by my other. I saw two other girls, but I do not know what they are. My foster-mother took us to being conducted by the 3rd Defendant. That is my master in Court, but I want to go away

the Court:--The evening we dined at the brothel, we stayed there. We all stayed there. I am willing to be a prostitute.

Etiax-Kwai declared:-I am 18 years of age. I am a servant. The Ist Defendant is my and I was brought up by her. The 3rd Defendant belongs to a brothel. She kidnapped me My mistress went to a feast. The 3rd Defendant asked us to become prostitutes. I She beat me. My two sisters were present. We were shut up in a room. I cried, but she 1er het us out. Meals were brought in to us. I did not hear anything about my being sold.

Mr. Shanp:---I want to go away with the 1st Defendant. She treats me well.

Xr. SHAKP points out that there is no evidence against the 1st and 2nd Defendants, his clients.

and Defendant states:-The 1st Defendant pledged the girls in my house, by receiving $30 I got no paper, and gave none. I rented rooms to them. I did not confine the girls in the

# witubes who saw the money paid.

1st and 2nd Defendants discharged.

A plant, three months' imprisonment withi bard labour, convicted of the assault.

Lakyan-Kix declared:---I an 21 years of age. About 4 years ago, I was brought to Hong- sold to the Defendant by en old women. The Defendant paid $80 for us.
