PROCLAMATION.

Governor and Commander-in-Chiej.
By His Excellency JOHN FOFE HENNESSY, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.
Whereas a despatch has been received from the Right Honourable Sir MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH, Bart., M.P., Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Celoniesy conveying to me Her Majesty's Gracious Confirmation and Allowance of the following Ordinance; namely:-
No. 2 of 1879, entitled---An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, to amend the short title of the Chinese Emigration Ordinance, No. 1 of 1878.
Now, therefore, it is hereby Proclaimed, that the said Ordinance has been so confirmed and allowed as aforesaid.
