Notice is hereby given, that His Excellency the Governor in Council, under and in pursuance of Ordinance No. 14 01862, entitled An Ordinance for granting Patents for Inventions within this Colony, has granted Letters Patent, bearing date the 27th Day of April, 1881, unto Louis MEKARSKI, of Paris, in the Republic of France, Architect, for securing to him the exclusive right of using within the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, an Invention, for which Her Majesty's Letters Patent have been obtained in England, for "An Improved Mode of and Apparatus for utilizing compressed air for obtaining Motive Power," for the residue of the term of Fourteen Years from the 8th Day of October, 1875, subject to certain conditions in the said Patent specified.
