GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Mr. MAK KAM-T'IN, of the Chung-hing Firm,

Sai-ying-p‘ún, being the holder, for the current

year, of the Privilege of Slaughtering Cattle

within the Colony, is entitled, for every animal

slaughtered, to a fee not exceeding twenty cents if the weight of the animal be less than one picul, or forty cents if the weight be more, and he may also retain to himself the blood of each animal so slaughtered.

GOVERNMENT. NOTIFICATION.

Tenders will be received at this Office until noon of Monday, the 14th February, for con-

structing about 470 feet lineal of new masonry

sewer at the lower end of Pok-fú-lam Road.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at the Surveyor General's Office. No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $100 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept

the lowest or any tender.
