GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.-No. 147.

The Honourable WILLIAM HENRY MARSH, Colonial Secretary, having this day returned to Hongkong and taken the usual Oaths, has assumed the Office of Administrator of the Colony during the absence of the Governor, in accordance with the provisions male in the Royal Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the United King-lom bearing date at Westminster the Ninth day of April, 1877.
