By His Excellency WILLIAM HENRY MARSH, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint and Saint George, the Officer Administering the Government of the Colony of Hongkong it Dependencies.

Whores a despatch has been received from the Right Honourable The EARL Of Derby. Has Masry's Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, conveying to me HER MAJESTY'S Gracious

firmation and Allowance of the following Ordinance; namely:-

No. 20 of 1884, entitled-An Ordinance to authorise the Appropriation of a Supplementary Sum of Two hundred and Thirty-five thousand Three hundred and Forty-five Dollars and Twenty-six Cents to defray the charges of the year 1883.

therefore, it is hereby Proclaimed that the said Ordinance has been so confirmed and at resaid.

Ordinance No. 22 of 1884.--An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, entitled The Peace Preservation Ordinance, 1884.
