KAIDO TANKO KISEN KABUSHIKI KAISHA of Nos. 208-227 Sapporo Dori, Moro- ran in the County of Mororan in the Island of Hokkaido in the Empire of Japan Coal Merchants have on the 21st day of May 1907 applied for the registration in Hongkong, in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Mark :-

The distinctive device of a peculiar five pointed star with a circular hole in the centre within a circle and the words"Hokkaido Tanko Kisen Kai- sha "between the said circle and two outer circles,

NOTICE is hereby given that the BEITISH

CIGARETTE COMPANY, LIMITED, (a Company registered under the Laws of Hong- kong), of No. 18 Bank Buildings, Hongkong ; and No. 9A Nanking Road, Shanghai, China; Tobacco Manufacturers, has on the 30th day of April, 1907, applied for the registration in Hongkong, in the Register of Trade Marks. of the following Trade Mark :-

The Trade Mark consists of a label having three panels: the middle panel being narrower than the others. The left hand panel contains the representa- tion of a gold ring set with a dia- moud placed immediately under the distinctive word "RING" contained in an outline in the shape of a shield. At the foot of the panel are the words "British Cigarette Co. Ltd. Shanghai" contained in a circular outline.

The middle panel is for the insertion of

words referring to the goods.

The right hand panel has the distinctive word "RING" shown on the top, and at the bottom of the panel are the words "British Cigarette Co. Ltd. Shanghai. The centre of the panel being taken up with words describ- ing the quality of the cigarettes,

in the name of the BRITISH CIGARETTE COMPANY, LIMITED, (a Company registered under the Laws of Hongkong), of No. 18 Bank Buildings, Hongkong, and No. 9 Nanking Road, Shanghai, China, Tobacco Manufac- turers, who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the Applicants forthwith in respect of the following goods :-

Manufactured Tobacco, in Class 45.
