Minutes read and confirmed.

VOTES OF MONEY REFERRED TO THE FINANCE COMMITTEE.-Read the following Minute by His Excellency the Governor :-

The Governor recommends the Council to vote the following sums :--

87780884. (1.) A sum of $25,000 for the drainage and filling in of the unhealthy marsh in the

centre of the Wongnaich'ung Valley.

858 of 1884. (2.) A sum of $650 for repairing the roof of the Táip'ingshan Market. The Colonial Treasurer moved that these papers be referred to the Finance Committee.

The Registrar General seconded.
