His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has been pleased to

appoint the following gentlemen to be Members of the Medical Board, under the provisions of Ordinance 6 of 1881.

The Honourable WILLIAM KESWICK (Chairman).

The Honourable Thomas JACKSON.

The Principal Naval Medical Officer.

The Principal Military Medical Officer.

The Colonial Surgeon.

The following Ordinance has passed the Legislative Council and has received the assent of His Excellency the Governor.

An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Hong. kong, with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, entitled The Medical Registration Ordi- nance, 1884.

[2nd April, 1884.]

E it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the

Battice of the Legislative Council thereof, as fol-

lows:-

1. This Ordinance shall commenco and come into opera- tion on the 5th day of April, 1884.

2. This Ordinanco shall not operate to limit the right of Chinese practitioners to practise medicine or surgery or to receive demand or recover reasonable charges in respect of such practice.
