ENTITLED
The Medical Registration Ordinance, 1884.
E it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as fol-
lows:-
1. This Ordinancé shall commence and come into opera- tion on the
day of
2. This Ordinance shall not apply to Chinese practitioners confining their practice exclusively to Chinese patients and shall not operate to limit the right of such persous to prue- tice medicine or surgery,
3. The Colonial Secretary shall keep a Register of Me- dical and Surgical Practitioners qualified to practice modi- cine and surgery in this Colony.
The Register shall be, as nearly as may be, according to form A in the schedule to this Ordinance.
4. A copy of the Register shall be published by the Colonial Secretary in the Gazette as soon as may be after the

; and thereafter a copy of the Register, as it stands at any such time, shail be published by the Colonial Secretary in the first Gazette issued after every succeeding first of
Any copy of the Gazette containing the most recent copy of the Register shall be primâ facie evidenco in all legal proceedings that the persons therein specifios are registered under this Ordinance; and the absence of the mane of any person from such copy shrill be primâ facie evidence that such persou is not registered under this Ordinance.
