EASTERN ARCHIPELAGO.

TIMOR ISLAND) –WEST COAST,

(1) Harbour Light at Kogumi

The Netherlands Government has given Notice, dated 4th October 1888, that a harbour light has been established at Koepang, west coast of Timor island :--

The light is a fixed white light of the sixth under, elesa

from a distance of 10 miles.

The lighthouse, of iron frame work, is coloured whit Position approximate on Admiralty chart, lat. 10 a

dot above the sea, and should be visible in clear weather

CELEBES ISLAND--EAST COAST.

(2) Harbour Light at Gorontalo,

Also, has given Notice, dated 6th October 1883, that a bultar light is established at Gorontalo, northern side of entrance to gulf of Tomini or Gorontalo :-

The light is a fixed white light of the sixth order, elevated 42 5 et above the sea, and should be visible in clear weather from a distance of 10 miles.

The lighthouse, of iron frame work, is coloured white,

Position approximate on Admiralty chart, lat. 02 944 N., long, 122° 59′ E.

CHINA-EAST COAST.

YANG-TSE KLANG.

(3) Hen Point Light Discontinued.

The Chinese Government has given Notice, dated 27th August 1883, that Hen point beacon light, south bank Yang- tse-Kiang, has been discontinued.

The substance of this Notice, as soon as it is received on board, is to be inserted in red ink on the Charts affected by it; and introduced into the

margin, or otherwise in the page, of the Sailing Directions to which it relates. 312 & 313.
