HIS IMPERIAL JAPANESE MAJESTY'S CONSULATE, HONGKONG, 29th August, 1885.

SIR, I have the honour to inform you that I am in receipt of a Telegram from my Government to the effect that the port of Nagasaki has been declared infected by Cholera, and consequently the Quarantine Regulation No. 31, issued 23rd June, 1882, on all vessels arriving at Shimonoseki, Kol. and Yokohama from there, will be rigidly enforced.

Will you be pleased to make the foregoing known to those interested as early as possible?
