Applications will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon on Wednesday the 3rd
Time, 1885, for the appointment of Assistant Engineer of the Government Fire Brigade. The duties will be to keep the Fire Engines and Manuals in repair, to attend all fires and ally to assist in and be responsible for the proper maintenance of all Government Fire Brigade
Candidates for the appointment must possess a general knowledge of the different types of Fire es and be acquainted with all the valves, cocks, and connections of those of SHAND and MASON MERYWEATHER.
Testimonials of sobriety and respectability required.
The person appointed will be provided with quarters at the Fire Brigade Station, where he must
Salary $55 per month.
