Her Majesty has been pleased to approve of the following appointments to the General and personal Staff in China, Hongkong, and the Straits Settlements :-

Major-General WILLIAM GORDON CAMERON, C.B., to be Major-General on the Staff, to command the Troops, vice Lient.-General JOHN NEPTUNE SARGENT, C.B., who vacates that appointment in consequence of promotion.
