III. Paragraph 5 of clause 1 is amended by the insertion of the following proviso immediately after the words "six months of service" in the fifth line thereof:
Provided that this provision shall not apply to any officer who comes within the provisions of sub-paragraph (3) of paragraph 1 of this clause."
IV. Clause 18 is amended by the substitution of "$300" for $240 in the
fifth and sixteenth lines thereof.
V. The following clause is added immediately after clause 18:-

A gratuity at the rate of one month's salary in respect of officers who each three years' service may be granted to the widow of any have served officer who has continuously served on the temporary establish- ment of the Colony and who at the date of his death was in receipt porary estab- of a salary not exceeding $300 per annum.
