AVIS AU COMMERCE.
Le commandant Niel, du paquebot le Haiphong, a l'honneur de porter à la connaissance du commerce et de la marine que, dans son dernier voyage au Tonkin, il a constaté que le vaßeur coulé au large du cap Ba-ké n'a plus aujourd'hui que le mât de misaine qui émerge de 4 à 5 mètres environ du niveau de la mer, le grand mât ayant dû être emporté il y a peu de jours.
Dans l'intérêt de la navigation, il a cru devoir déterminer d'une manière exacte la position de cette épave qui se trouve sur la route suivie par les navires allant ou venant de l'Est, et qui devient, par le fait de la disposition de sa mâture, un danger réel pour la navigation.
Les relèvements suivants ont été pris à 50 mètres au plus de l'épave:
Morne Tai-ku, N. 39° E. vrais ; Sommet Ba-ké, N. 32° 0. idem; Morne Courni, N. 16° 0. idem ; Sommet S., N. 24° E. idem.

HYDROGRAPHICAL MEMO., No. 11.
The Government of Japan has given notice of the following :-

YOKKAICHI LIGHT.
From the 1st August 1886 a Light would be exhibited from a Light-House erected inside the Break-water at Yokkai- chi, in Owari Bay. The Light will be Fixed White, 42 feet above the sea, and visible in clear weather 10 miles, between the bearings (true) of N. 32° 15′ E. and S. 3° 12 W. as observed from the Light-House. The Light-House is a square. wooden tower, painted white, 30 feet high. Approximate position:-Lat. 34° 57' 48" N. Long. 136° 39′ 48′′ E.

MOORING BUOY IN YEDO GULF.
A cylindrical red mooring Buoy has been placed in Yedo Gulf for the use of the Quarantine Vessel. It lies in 15 fathoms on the following bearings--
Buoy off Saratoga Spit,
Kuwan on Saki Light-House, Sarusima,.
N. 78° 45′ E. ..S. 36° 33′ E.
.S. 5° 37′ W.

THE CONTAGIOUS DISEASES ORDINANCE, 1867.
It is hereby notified that the parts of the house hereinafter mentioned, that is to say, the First and Second Floors of No. 24, Second Street, of which Mr. TANG LUK is the Registered Landlord, were, on the 10th day of September, 1886, pursuant to Section 23 of the above Ordinance, declared by me under my Hand and Seal of Office to be Unlicensed Brothels.
