In the matter of the Petition of PERCIVAL EVERITT, of London, England, Engineer, for Letters Patent, for the exclusive use within the Colony of Hongkong, of Invention for "Improvements in weighing Machines " for which Her Majesty's Royal Letters Patent were granted on the 13th day of December, 1984, to the said PERCIVAL EVERITT.

Petition, Specification, and Declaration rer;uired herein by Ordinance No. 14 of 1862, have been duly filed in the Office of the Colonial Secretary of Hongkong, and that it is the intention of the said 'ERCIVAL EVERITT,
MATTHEW JOHN DENMAN STEPHENS, is duly authorized Agent and Attorney, to pply at the sitting of the Executive Council ereinafter mentioned for Letters Patent for he exclusive use within the said Colony of Tongkong of the above named invention. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN, that a .uting of the Executive Council. before whom the matter of the said Petition will come for decision, will be held in the Council Chamber, at the Government Offices, Victoria, Hongkong, Friday, the 10th day of September, 1886, at 2.30P.M.

ORDINARY GENERAL MEETING of the above named Company will be held at the Registered Office of the Company, Pedder's Street,Victoria, in the Colony of Hongkong, on Monday. the 20th day of September, 1886, at Noon, when the subjoined Resolution will be proposed.
Should the Resolution be passed by the required majority it will be submitted for con- firmation as a Special Resolution to a Second Extraordinary General Meeting which will be subsequently convened.
RESOLUTION.
That Article No. 17 in the Articles of Associa- tion be altered by eliminating therefrom the figures $100,000 where they appear twice therein and substituting for such figures the figures $150,000.
