GENTLEMEN,

The Directors have now to submit to you a General Statement of the affairs of the Bank, and Balance Sheet for the half-year ending 30th June last.

The net profits for that period, including $63,800.38 brought forward from last account, after paying all charges, deducting interest paid and due, and making provision for bad and doubtful debts, amount to $610,801.43. The Directors recommend that the sum of $300,000 be transferred from the Reserve for equalization of Dividends to Credit of Profit and Loss Account which will then stand at $910,801.43, of which, after taking out remuneration to Directors, there remains for appropriation $900,801.43.

From this sum, the Directors recommend the payment of a Dividend of Two Pounds Sterling per Share, which will absorb $533,333.33.

The difference in Exchange between 4/6, the rate at which the Dividend is declared and 3/04 the current rate of the day amounts to $255,707.76.
