No. 482.-The North Point Bathing Beaches, having been lent to the 2nd Battalion of the Duke of Edinburgh's (Wiltshire) Regiment on Thursday and Friday the 23rd and 24th of September from 1 o'clock p.m., will be closed to the Public during the afternoon. of both these days.

No. 483. It is hereby notified that the undermentioned street is to be known for the future by the name indicated against it :-

No. 484. The following extract from the Board of Trade Journal of the 29th July, 1920, is published for general information.

IMPERIAL SHIPPING.

The Imperial Shipping Committee wish it to be known that they are now prepared to receive from persons and bodies in any part of the British Empire who are interested with regard to ocean freights, facilities and conditions in the Inter-Imperial trade, suggestions or representations in regard to any matters included in the scope of their terms of reference, which are as follows, viz. :-

(i) To enquire into complaints from persons and bodies interested with regard to ocean freights, facilities and conditions in the Inter-Imperial trade or questions of a similar nature referred to them by any of the nominating authorities, and to report their conclusions to the Governments concerned. (ii) To survey the facilities for maritime transport on such routes as appear to them to be necessary for trade within the Empire, and to make recom- mendations to the proper authority for the co-ordination and improvement of such facilities with regard to the type, size and speed of ships, depth of water in docks and channels, construction of harbour works and similar matters.

All communications should in the first instance be in writing and addressed to the Secretary, Imperial Shipping Committee, Board of Trade Offices, Great George Street, London, S.W. I. It is requested that they may be sent in as soon as possible, and in any event so as to reach the Secretary not later than 1st November, 1920, except in the case of the more distant portions of the Empire (ie., other than in Europe, the Mediterranean or North America), communications from which should be received not later than 1st January, 1921.
