HARBOUR MASTER'S DEPARTMENT,

No. 432.--It is hereby notified that the Certificates of Competency of Masters and Engineers of Steamships not exceeding 60 tons, while underway in the waters of the Colony, are always to be on board the vessel, ready to be produced for inspection by me or my deputy, or by any officer of Police.

HARBOUR MASTER'S DEPARTMENT,

No. 433.- -It is hereby notified that information has been received from the Military Authorities that Gun Practice will be carried out as under:-

On Thursday, the 4th July:---

From Lower Belcher, in a Westerly direction, at ranges up to 10,000 yards,

commencing at 9.30 a.m., and finishing at 10.30 a.m.

On Friday, the 5th July:

From Lyemun Redoubt, in an Easterly direction, at ranges up to 10,000 yards.

commencing at 9.30 a.m., and finishing at 12 noon.

If the weather is unfavourable on any of the above dates, practice will take place on the following day.

All ships, junks and other vessels are to keep clear of the ranges.
