APPOINTMENTS, &c.
No. 81.-His Excellency the Governor has accepted with regret the resignation by Major JOHN HENRY WILLIAM ARMSTRONG of his Commission in the Hongkong Volunteer Corps, with effect from the 9th February, 1920. His Excellency desires to place on record his appreciation of the valuable services rendered by Major ARMSTRONG while command- ing the Artillery Company during the war.

No. 82.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. ALAN GRIFFITHS COPPIN to be a Visiting Justice to the Po Leung Kuk, vice Mr. ALEXANDER MACKENZIE, resigned.

No. 83.-lis Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. ERIC WILLIAM HAMILTON to act as Assistant District Officer in the Southern District of the New Territories, with effect from the 10th February, 1920.

No. 84. It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. ERIC WILLIAM HAMILTON to be a Magistrate under the provisions of section 7 of the Magistrates Ordinance, 1890, Ordinance No. 3 of 1890, with effect from the 10th February, 1920.
His Excellency the Governor has further been pleased to authorise Mr. ERIC WILLIAM HAMILTON, under the provisions of section 58 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 34 of 1910, to hold a Small Debts Court in the New Territories at the following places:-
The charge rooms of the Police Stations at Tsun Wan, Tai O, Tung Chung,
Cheung Chau, and Yeung Shu Wan,
with effect from the same date.

No. 85.-It is hereby notified under section 6 of the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance, 1900, Ordinance No. 10 of 1900, that the Board of Arbitrators appointed to determine the amount of compensation to be paid in respect of the resumption of Lots Nos. 2500 and 2501, Survey District IV, constituted as follows:-
Mr. ARNOLD HACKNEY HOLLINGSWORTH, Justice of the Peace, Chairman. Mr. ERIC WILLIAM HAMILTON nominated by His Excellency the Governor. Mr. ARTHUR CHAPMAN, nominated by the Chairman on behalf of the owner.
It is hereby further notified that the Chairman hereby appoints Tuesday, the 17th day of February, 1920, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at the office of the Assistant District Officer, Southern District, Hongkong, as the time and place for the Board to commence its sittings.
