SIR-I duly laid before the QUEEN and before the PRINCE of WALES your telegram of the 18th instant, reporting the feeling of universal sorrow with which the people of Hong Kong had learned the sad news of the death of His Royal Highness the DUKE of CLARENCE and AVONDALE, and am desired by Her Majesty and Their Royal Highnesses the PRINCE and PRINCESS of WALES to convey to you their deep feeling of gratitude for this kind expression of sympathy.

It is hereby notified that the entire privilege known as the Opium Farm established under The Prepared Opium Ordinance, 1891, has been let for the term of three years from 1st March, 1892, HO TAI SHANG, LUM SIN SANG, YAU WING, LO WA SHIN and Ho LIN WONG trading under the style or firm of "How Fook Company."
