The Council met pursuant to adjourninent.

The Minutes of the last Meeting, held on the 11th January, 1893, were read and confirmed.

PAPERS LAID ON THE TABLE.-The Colonial Secretary, by command of His Excellency the Governor, laid on the table the following papers, viz. :-Memorial respecting Gaol Extension; Corres- pondence respecting the proposed Loan; and the Report of the Government Central School for Girls

for 1892.

REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE.-The Colonial Secretary, by command of His Excellency the Governor, laid on the table the Report of the Finance Committee 'dated the 11th of January, (No. 1 ̧of 1893).
