The Trade Mark has been used by the Applicants in respect of Chemical substances prepared for use in medicine and pharmacy, and particularly of a compound of essential oils and carbo-hydrates for the treatment of diseases of the respiratory organs, in Class 3.

Applicants since December, 1885, No. 2 since 28th September, 1886, No. 3 since January, 1887, No. 4 since 1st December, 1888, No. since September, 1890, No. 6 since 25th March, 1892, No. 7 since April, 1892, No. 8 since May, 1892, No. 9 since 1st May, 1904, No 10 since April, 1907 and Nos. 11, 12 and 13 are intended to be, used by the Applicants forth- with, all in respect of the following goods:--

Oil, Grease and Waxes of all kinds and similar products for Lubricating, Illuminating, Heating and Fuel Pur- poses also Gasoline and other products for Generating power, in Class 47. Dated the 31st day of October, 1919.

in the Empire of Japan, a Company registered under the laws of Japan and having a Branch Office at No. 2, Connaught Road Central, Victoria, in the Colony of Hongkong, have on the 20th day of October, 1919, applied for the registration in Hongkong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Marks:-

1. The representation of an old Chinese gentleman sitting on a verandah over- looking a stream wherein several fish are represented and on the bank oppo- site are two boys one holding a fishing rod, the whole surrounded by a floral border. On the top of such border

appear the words "+##"

meaning "One thousand times profit," in the centre of the lower portion of the floral border appear the letters "N.M.K.K., meaning Nippon Menkwa Kabushiki Kaisha.

2. The representation of Two boys run- ning, each carrying a basket contain- ing grass, one carrying & staff in his right hand the other carrying a hoe across his right shoulder, the whole aurrounded by a fancy border. On the top of such border' appear the

"Grass boys," in the centre of the lower portion of the fancy border appear

the letters "N.M.K.K., meaning Nippon Menkwa Kabushiki Kaisha,

in the name of the NIPPON MENKWA KABUSHIKI KAISHA who claim to be the proprietors thereof. The Trade Marks have been used by the Applicants as follows:-

No. 1 since the 6th April, 1916. No. 2 since the 15th May, 1916. both in respect of Cotton Piece Goods of all kinds, in Class 24.

Facsimiles of the Trade Marks are deposited for inspection in the office of the Registrar. Dated this 23rd day of October, 1919.
