TRADE MARKS ORDINANCE, 1909.
Application for Registration of Trade Marks.
NOTICE is hereby given that the under-
signed on the 2nd day of July, 1919, applied for registration in the Register of Trade Marks, Hongkong, of the following Trade Marks:-
(1) The representation of the statue of a woman on a pedestal holding a light in her uplifted right hand; beams of coloured light radiate from the top of the woman's head intersected with the words "Leading Light"; on opposite sides of the woman's head and just below the beams of light are the words "Brand" and "Dyes" and tall build- ings appear indistinctly in the back- ground of the picture.
(2) The representation of three cats en-
closed in a circle.
On the right hand side of each mark are the
Characters 著名超等顏料廠
meaning "famous superior class Dye - Factory") and on the left hand side the
characters 香港新中和洋行
(meaning "Hongkong Sun Chung Wo Foreign Firm")
in the name of HANS SKOTT carrying on business as Messrs. H. SKOTT AND COMPANY, Hongkong, who claims to be the proprietor thereof.
The Trade Marks will be used by the Appli cant in respect of "Mineral Dyes" in Class 1. and in respect of "Dyes other than mineral",
in Class 4.
Facsimiles of the marks are deposited for inspection in the Office of the Registrar.

(1) The representation of 5 leopards cross- ing a stream in a jungle on a wooden ladder the whole picture being enclosed in a blue border.
(2) The representation of a woman draw- ing water from a well by means of a rope attached to a bamboo pole balanced in the fork of a tree; on the left of the picture is a water fall run- ning into a stream on which is a man propelling a boat and on the top right hand corner are two diminutive boys drawing up a bucket by a pulley; the whole picture being enclosed in a fancy red and green border.
(3) The representation of a man with a scythe cutting corn surrounded by a device of flowers entwined in a larger scythe, the whole picture being enclosed in a fancy red and green border.

The Trade Marks have been used by the applicants in respect of Cotton Piece Goods of all kinds, in Class 24.
