NOTICE

1. The Custodian in China of Enemy Property hereby invites tenders by British Subjects for the purchase of the leasehold property situate in the British Concession, Shameen, and known and registered at H.B.M. Con- sulate-General at Canton as Lot Number 24 which leasehold property is held subject to the Lessees' covenants and the con- ditions contained in a Crown Lease of the said Lot for 99 years terminating on the 2nd day of September, 1960. This pro- perty, which was lately occupied by JEBSEN & Co., has an area of 12,645 sq. ft. and is situate at the corner of South Avenue and First Street. A Residence, Godown and Servants' Quarters are built upon the site.

2. The Custodian further invites tenders by British Subjects for the purchase of the leasehold property situate in the British Concession, Shameen, and known and registered at H.B.M. Consulate-General at Canton as Lot Number 51 which leasehold property is held subject to the Lessees' covenants and the conditions contained in a Crown Lease of the said Lot for 99 years terminating on the 3rd day of September, 1960. This property, which was lately occupied by MELCHERS & COMPANY, has an area of 12,645 sq. ft. and is situated at the corner of Central Avenue and Third Street.

A Residence, Godowns and Compradore's Quarters are built upon the site.

3. Particulars and conditions of sale of either of the above properties may be obtained by applying in Canton to H.B.M. Consul- General, in Hongkong to the Chartered Bank of India Australia and China, and in Shanghai to the Custodian direct.

Inspection of the properties can be arranged by applying to H.B.M. Consul-General at Canton.

5. Tenders in writing for either of the pro- perties, which should be addressed to "The Custodian in China of Enemy Property, 20, Yuen Ming Yuen Road, Shanghai," so as to reach him not later than the 1st day of August, 1919, must be so framed as to remain open for acceptance on or before the 18th day of August, 1919.

6. The Custodian is not bound to accept the

highest or any tender received.
