NOTICES TO MARINERS.
THE Gas lit Buoys marking the Western end of the Central Fairway, Hongkong Harbour, have been moved N. 86° W., the Northern buoy 320 yards, and the Southern 340 yards, from their former positions, and now lie as indicated below :-
Northern Buoy :--
Green Island Flagstaff 70° Central Tower, University 37° 34' Canton Steam-
boat Pier Flagstaff.
Southern Buoy :---
Green Island Flagstaff 84° Central Tower, University 40° 30′ Canton Steam-
boat Pier Flagstaff.

- RUSSIAN COAST.
1. The fog signals on Skrypleff Island will be given from May 27th by siren, bell and gun.
2. The lighting of Petropovlovsk Lighthouse has been resumed from 1st April.
3. On 16th April the lighting of Closter Camp Lighthouse has been resumed.
4. The connection with lighthouses situated to the North of Povorotuyi having been interrupted, on account of unforseen circumstances, the lighting of lighthouses and sounding of fog signals may possibly be interrupted in that region.

FOOCHOW DISTRICT HAITAN STRAIT.
Slut Island Range Beacons.
Intended Alterations in Characteristics.
NOTICE is hereby given that about the end of July, 1919, two white pyramidal concrete structures will be erected on the south-eastern slope of Slut Island, Haitan Strait. These structures, when completed, will be known as the Slut Island Leading Beacons and will replace the present Slut Island Range Beacons (two wooden beacons), which will be discontinued.
These alterations will be solely structural and will in no way alter the recognised navigational directions for the area concerned.
