Hakodate Ko Breakwater Lighthouse.

Position: --Lat 41° 47′ 16′′, Long. 140° 42′ 0′′ E. (According to the Japanese

Admiralty Chart No. 6.)

Description:-Lower part concrete, upper part iron lattice work, painted red. Height of light :--36 shaku above the base, 42 shaku above the water.

Character of light :--Acetylene gas occulting white, duration of light 2 seconds,

eclipse 2 seconds.

Illuminated. are:-The whole horizon.

Power :--150 candles.

Visible distance:--11 nautical miles in clear night.

The light being unwatched, should the light go out by accident there may be some delay in relighting it.

Light temporarily extinguished.

Notice is hereby given that Tsutsuzaki beacon light, on Ose, S. of Tsutsuzaki, S. W. end of Tsushima temporarily extinguished since the 6th February, 1919.

Further notice will be given after the above light has been relighted.
