CHINA SEA.

YANGTZE RIVER.

CHINKIANG DISTRICT.

Pitman-King Island (Liuhaisha). Lighted Beacon Established.

NOTICE is hereby given that a lighted Beacon has been established to mark a point where vessels make or leave the steep-to coast of Pitman-King Island (Liuhaisha), Yang- tze River, when navigating the channel running between the south-western end of Kiushan Bank and the shoal off the northerly point of Pitman-King Island.

The Beacan, which is a low white pyramidical structure surmounted by a pole with a spherical daymark, exhibits two white unclassed Lights hoisted vertically. It is situated on the northern shore of Pitman-King Island, 2:98 miles N. 38° W. from Pitman-King Island Surveying-beacon, and is to be known as the Kiushan Bank Beacon.

NOTE.

A line drawn from this Beacon to the Cooper Bank Light-boat (N. 33° W.) cuts through the centre of the fairway.

All bearings given are magnetic.

Taku Bar Leading Lights: Re-exhibition of.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lights on the Taku Bar Leading Marks and on the River Mouth Leading Marks will be again exhibited on and after the 12th February,

1919.

LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS, No. 201.

Lightship "Taku", Entrance Buoy, Bar Light-boat and Spit

Light-boat to be replaced in position.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lightship "Taku" will be placed in position on or about Thursday, the 20th instant.

The Entrance Buoy, Bar Light-boat and the Spit Light-boat will be placed in posi- tion on or about the 21st instant. When the Spit Light-boat is in position the lights on the River Mouth Leading Marks will be discontinued.
