The following notices have been issued during the month by Mr. FIGG:- On the 9th at 10.45 a."The barometer has fallen generally, particularly in the Southern Philippines. A depression, which is probably moving Westwards, seems to be situated to the SE of Luzon. Pressure is highest over Japan: Gradient moderate on the coast, rather steep with very strong monsoon in the N. part of the China Sea." Forecast:-"fresh E winds; cloudy, some drizzling rain.

On the 10th at 11.55 a. "The barometer has fallen on the China coast, particularly in the North; risen in the Southern Philippines. The depression is probably moving Westwards off the SW coast of Luzon. Another depression lies over Central China. Gradients slight on the coast, rather steep Forecast:" moderate E winds; cloudy, with strong NE winds in the N. part of the China Sea." some drizzling rain."

On the 11th at 11.55 a.-"The barometer has risen slightly in the Philippines, fallen considerably in W Japan. The Southern depression is probably moving WNW between Palawan and the Paracels, and the Northern depression moving Eastwards between the E coast of China and Corea. Gradients

Forecast: slight on the coast, rather steep with strong NE winds in the N. part of the China Sea.” "moderate or fresh E to N winds; fair."

On the 12th at 11.55 a. "The barometer bas risen on the E. coast of China, fallen on the S. coast and over Japan. The Northern depression is moving Eastwards in the Sea of Japan, and the Gradients moderate to rather China Sea depression is probably moving towards the coast of Annan.
