Houses Nos. 24 to 30, Circular Pathway.-A report of the action taken in the case of these houses was laid on the table.

Rinderpest at the Cattle Depôt, Kennedytown.-A report of 5 cases of rinderpest, in which the President had ordered the slaughter of the animals, was laid on the table, and the Board endorsed the action of the President.

Bubonic Plague.-A notification from the Indian Government that Calcutta and Chittagong are enforcing Venice Regulations against arrivals from Portugal was laid on the table.

A further report of the progress of Bubonic Plague at Bombay City for the period 15th to 28th August, 1899, was laid on the table.

Mortality Returns from Macao-For the weeks ended 3rd and 10th September, 1899, were laid on the table. Mortality Statistics for this Colony-For the weeks ended 9th and 16th September, 1899, were laid on the

Tinned Milk unfit for Human Food.-The Medical Officer of Health applied that the Board would order 42 tins of Milk, recently seized as unfit for human food, to be destroyed.

That the 42 tins of Milk be destroyed under section 25 of Ordinance 24 of 1887.

NOTICE.

The Annual Session of Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace will be held in the Justices Room, at the Magistracy, on Wednesday, the 15th day of November, 1899, at 2.30 pm. for the purpose of considering applications for Publican's and Adjunct Licences for the year 1899-1900, under Ordi- nance No. 24 of 1898.

Forms of Application may be obtained at the Magistracy.

All applications must be forwarded to the Magistracy on or before Thursday, the 2nd day of November, 1899.
