I am directed to state, for your information, that intimation having been received of the out- break of plague at l'enang, the necessary instructions have been issued to the Officers concerned to strictly enforce the Venice Sanitary Convention Regulations in the ports of Calcutta and Chittagong against vessels arriving from Penang.

I am directed to state, for your information, that intimation having been received of the outbreak of plague at Mauritius, the Officers concerned have been instructed to strictly enforce the Venice Sanitary Convention Regulations in the ports of Calcutta and Chittagong against vessels arriving from Mauritius.
