No. 163. It is hereby notified that a meeting of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace will be held at the Magistracy, at 2.15 p.m. on Tuesday, the 19th March, 1907, for the purpose of considering the following application under the Liquor Licences Ordinance, 1898, viz.:-
From one JoHN ELVIN BARKER for the transfer to him from one PATRICK ROBERTS of the adjunct licence to sell by retail intoxicating liquors on the premises Nos. 90 and 92, Queen's Road West, under the sign of "The Western Hotel".

No. 164.-Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Wednesday, the 13th March, 1907, for the making up and supply of the undermentioned Summer Clothing for the use of the Police Department:--

30 Blue Silk Puggaries, for Inspectors.
500 Suits Drabette, for Europeans and Indians. 100 Blue Puggaries, for Constables. 350 Suits Drabette, for Chinese. 700 Pairs of Shoes, for Chinesc.
350 Pairs of Stockings, for Chinese. 350 Pairs of Garters, for Chinese. 100 Bamboo Hats.
The Contractor will be supplied with the undermentioned Articles only from the Police Stores, all other Materials to be supplied at his own cost, and included in the prices tendered :-
Drabette.
Uniform Buttons.
Trouser Buttons.
Hooks and Eyes.
3-inch White Braid for Inspectors' Jackets. Calico.
No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $100 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person fails or refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.
Forms of tender may be obtained at the Colonial Secretary's Office.
Samples of Uniform, and any further information, may be obtained on application at the Office of the Captain Superintendent of Police.
No tender will be received unless sent in the Form required.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
