2. Eight thousand two hundred and thirty-nine (8,239) steamers, 10 sailing ships and 791 steamships not exceeding 60 tons, in foreign trade, entered during the year, giving an average daily entry of 24.77 European constructed foreign-going ships, as compared with 22.5 in 1906.
