Children under twelve years of age are charged at half the foregoing rates in each
Naval and Military patients will be charged in accordance with the scale for "private patients".
Proprietary medicines or drugs not contained in the British Pharmacopoeia will be charged for if supplied by the Government. Private patients, other than Government or Naval or Military patients, charged 1st or 2nd class daily rates for maintenance, will be subject to the following additional charges:-
(1) For medical attendance, a charge at the rate of one third of the rate for
maintenance.
(2) For surgical operations:-Major operations-$50 (minimum) to $600 (maximum) at the discretion of the Director of Medical and Sanitary Services.
