The rainfall for the month of October at the Botanical Gardens was Qins. 66 on 7 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was ins. 47 on 4 days, at Fanling, Qins. 52 on 4 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 2ins. 87 on 4 days.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 746 at 16h.02m. on the 18th.

The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 52 miles per hour at 8h. 41m. on the 19th.
