No. 721. It is hereby notified that Mr. JOHN WILLIAM FRANKS resumed duty as Superintendent of Prisons, on 3rd November, 1931.

No. 722.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under the provisions of Statute 4 of the Second Schedule of the University Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 10 of 1911, to nominate the following as Members of the Court of the University of Hong Kong for a further period of three years, with effect from the 12th November, 1931:---

No. 723.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint JOHN ALEXANDER ROBERTSON SELBY, Esquire, M.B., B.Ch. (Edin.), to be Lieutenant in the Medical Section, Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 3rd November, 1931.

No. 724.-It is hereby notified for general information that the instrument of accession by His Majesty on behalf of this Colony to the General Act of 1928 for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes was deposited with the Secretariat of the League of Nations on the 21st May, 1931.
A copy of the Act may be seen on application at this office.
