APPOINTMENTS,

No. 688.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under section 9 (4) of the Liquors Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 9 of 1911, Mr. JOHN LIVINGSTONE MCPHERSON to be a member of the Licensing Board for a period of three years, with effect from the 26th October, 1931.

No. 689.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. RONALD RUSKIN TODD to act as Superintendent of Imports and Exports during the absence of Mr. JOHN DANIEL LLOYD, or until further notice, with effect from the 31st October, 1931.

No. 690.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Dr. DOUGLAS JAMES VALENTINE to act as Director of Medical and Sanitary Services, with effect from 29th October, 1931.

Regulations made by the General Officer Commanding His Majesty's Regular Forces in the Colony, with the approval of the Governor, under and in accordance with the provisions of section 11 of the Volunteer Ordinance, 1920, Ordinance No. 2 of 1920, on the 19th day of October, 1931.
The regulations set forth in the First Schedule to the Volunteer Ordinance, 1920, as amended by section 2 of the Volunteer Amendment Ordinance, 1927, and as appears in Government Notifications No. 297 of 1926, No. 749 of 1927, Nos. 108, 124 and 353 of 1928, and No. 664 of 1930, are hereby further amended as follows:-
(1) by the rescission of regulations 14 and 15; and
(2) by the insertion, next after regulation 13, of the following heading and
regulation,--
Responsibility for and care of stores.
14. The Commandant, assisted by the Quarter-master, is responsible to the Hong Kong Government for all stores, arms and equipment supplied by the Government for use by the Corps.
