No. 651-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Mr. TIMOTHY MURPHY to be an Assistant Superintendent of Police, with effect from 7th July, 1931.

THE NURSES REGISTRATION ORDINANCE, 1931.

No. 652.-It is hereby notified that the following appointments to the Nursing Board for the Colony of Hong Kong have been made pursuant to the Regulations made under the above mentioned Ordinance:

Three members appointed by His Excellency the Governor,—

Miss M. WARD.

Dr. PHOON SECK WAH.

Dr. (Mrs.) A. R. S. McELNEY.

Two members appointed by the University of Hong Kong,

Prof. R. E. TOTTENHAM.

Prof. W. I. GERRARD.

The appointments are for a period of three years, and take effect on the 16th October, 1931.

NOTE. The Board consists of seven members; the Director of Medical and Sanitary Services (Chairman) and the Principal Matron of the Government Hospitals are members.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

No. 653. It is hereby notified that Special "A" Class Certificate of Proficiency in Radiotelegraphy No. 45A/29 issued to Mr. LEUNG TSO CHI on 19th November, 1929, has been cancelled under regulation 8 of the Wireless Telegraphy Regulations.

Mr. LEUNG Tso Cm is therefore debarred until further notice from serving as Wire-

less Operator on board British Ships.
