Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 3 of the Vehicles and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, 1912, Ordinance No. 40 of 1912, on the 16th day of July,
1931.
The Traffic Regulations set forth on pages 617-655 of the Regulations of Hong Kong, 1844-1925, amended as appears in Government Notifications Nos. 368 of 1926, 331 of 1927, 586 of 1928, 27, 334, 553 and 653 of 1929, 218, 376 and 518 of 1930 and 13 and 78 of 1931, are hereby further amended as follows:-
(1) by the insertion, in the table of vehicle licences in regulation 5, of the following
items,--
(g)' Trailers
(i)' Hand propelled petrol or oil pumps

(2) by the rescission of regulation 7 and the substitution therefor of the following
regulation,-
7. No vehicle or driver's licence fee shall be payable in respect of the
following vehicles:-
The Governor's cars.
The Naval Commander-in-Chief's car.
The General Officer Commanding the Troops' car.
The Commodore's car.
The Colonial Secretary's car.
(3) by the insertion of the words "in uniform to the satisfaction of the Inspector General of Police" next after the words "properly dressed", in line 4 of regulation 33.
(4) by the insertion, next after regulation 39, of the following regulation,-
39A. The driver of a motor omnibus shall ensure that the signalling device referred to in regulation 129 (5) is in good working order and is properly operated, and be responsible if any signal is not duly given. (5) by the insertion, next after regulation 45, of the following regulation,-
45A. The driver of a commercial motor vehicle shall ensure that his vehicle is not overladen and that the load is properly stacked, secured and carried.
(6) by the rescission of lines 1 and 2 of regulation 70 and the substitution therefor
of the following,-
"70. On change of ownership of a licensed private vehicle the person disposing of and the person acquiring such vehicle shall ".
(7) by the rescission of first four lines of regulation 76 and the substitution therefor
of the following,-
76. Every applicant for a licence for a public vehicle shall, as a condition of the issue of such licence, deposit with the Inspector General of Police the sum of $200 to secure the ".
(8) by the insertion, next after regulation 85, of the following regulation,-
85A. Public vehicles shall be inspected by a police officer authorised by the Inspector General of Police for the purpose-
