Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 3 of the Licensing Ordi- nance, 1887, Ordinance No. 8 of 1887, on the 6th day of August, 1931.

The regulations relating to hawkers set forth on pages 117 and 118 of the Regula- tions of Hong Kong, 1844-1925, are hereby further amended as follows,-

(1) by the insertion in regulation 1, next before the paragraph commencing

Nothing in these regulations", of the following paragraph,

"C

The trade of every licensed hawker is strictly limited to the class of his licence; for instance the holder of a hawkers itinerant licence, a hawkers stallholders licence or a hawkers (native craft) licence, may not carry on his trade on any steamship.

(2) by the rescission of regulation 2 and the substitution therefor of the following

regulation,-

2. The annual fee for a hawkers itinerant licence shall be $4 except in any case where the sale of cigarettes and/or tobacco is permitted, when the fee shall be $8.

The annual fee for a hawkers (native craft) licence shall be $4.

Such fees shall be payable to the Inspector General of Police on the date

on which the licence is granted.

Every licence shall expire on the 30th day of September following the

date when it is granted.

(3) by the rescission of the proviso in regulation 4 which commences Provided

that" and ends "shall be payable".

NOTE.--The rescinded regulation 2 and the proviso referred to in amendment (3) made provision for a proportionate part of the fee for part of a year in certain cases.

No. 511.-It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor in Council has, under Section 6A (2) (a) of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, this day approved of the setting apart as a Cemetery for Chinese Christians of an area, containing about 26,250 square feet, to be known as the Sung Him Tong Sung Chan Wui Kei Tuk Kau Fan Cheung (A***I******) near Tsung Hom Tong in D.D. No. 83 of the Northern District of the New Territories of Hong Kong, in the position shown on a plan which is deposited and may be seen in the office of the District Officer, North.
