No. 486.-The Honourable Mr. CHALONER GRENVILLE ALABASTER, K.C., O.B.E., J.P., having ceased to be an unofficial member of the Licensing Board referred to in section 9 of the Liquors Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, and Mr. MELBOURNE, whose appointment as an official licensing justice appears in Government Notification No. 189 of 1929, having retired, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the former to be an official member and Vice-Chairman of the said Board for a period of three years, with effect from the date on which he became an official Justice of the Peace, that is to say, the 9th April, 1930.

There being a vacancy for an appointment by the Governor of an unofficial licensing justice, His Excellency has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOSEPH MOW-LAM WONG, J.P., to be a member of the said Licensing Board for a period of three years, with effect from the 31st day of July, 1931.

No. 487. It is hereby notified that on and after August 1st, 1931, charges will be made for official examinations by the Colonial Veterinary Surgeon, as follows:-

1. For examination of cattle for export (including certificate of result) ---

for the first 100

with a minimum fee of $5.00.

50 cents a head.

25 cents a head.

2. For examination of animals other than cattle for export (including

certificate of result) :-

$5.00 a head.

3. For examination of food products for export (including certificate of result):-

if covering consignments of not exceeding 500 lbs.
