2. The Court of the University of Hong Kong, on the 27th day of April, 1931, in further exercise of the aforesaid power, amended the Statutes of the University by adding to the proviso in paragraph 1 of statute 7, next after the word "years", the following,-

or for such other less period as the Governor shall in the case of each particular appointment see fit to direct".

The said amendments having been allowed by the Governor in Council on the 19th day of May, 1931, become valid and operative on the publication of this notification.

NOTE. The Statutes of the University are set forth in the Second Schedule to the University Ordinance, 1911. Earlier amendments will be found in Government Notifications Nos. 350 of 1925, 263 of 1926, 71 of 1927, 333 of 1928, 58 of 1929, 366 of 1929, and Ordinance No. 4 of 1927.

Regulation made by the Governor in Council under section 4 of the Stamp Ordinance, 1921, Ordinance No. 8 of 1921, this 21st day of May, 1931.

Regulations 1, 5 and 6 of the Regulations made on the 16th day of September, 1925, and published in the Gazette of the 25th September, 1925, by Government Notification. No. 525 and on pages 793 and 794 of the Regulations of Hong Kong, 1814-1925, are amended as follows:

(i) in regulation 1 by the deletion of the figure and words

"5 (receipt stamp)".

(ii) by the addition of the following paragraph at the end of regulation 1:-

Duty Stamps for receipts shall be smaller in size than duty stamps

for other purposes.

(iii) in regulation 5 by the deletion of the figure and words "5 cents receipt stamps and by the substitution therefor of the words "duty stamps for receipts".

(iv) in regulation 6 by the deletion of the figure and words "5 cents receipt. stamps" and by the substitution therefor of the words "duty stamps for receipts".
