No. 260. It is hereby notified that Sir JOSEPH HORSFORD KEMP, Kt., C.B.E., K.C., resumed duty as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong, on 25th April, 1931.

No. 261.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, the Honourable Mr. CHARLES GORDON STEWART MACKIE to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council, in the place of Mr. JOHN OWEN HUGHES, and pending the return to the Colony of Sir HENRY EDWARD POLLOCK, Kt., K.C., with effect from 27th April, 1931.

No. 262.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. EDWIN TAYLOR to act as Colonial Treasurer, Collector of Stamp Revenue, and Assessor of Rates, and to be the Commissioner to carry out the provisions of the Estate Duty Ordinance, 1915, during the absence on leave of Mr. C. Mcl. Messer, O.B.E., or until further orders, with effect from the 25th April, 1931.

No. 263. It is hereby notified, under section 6 (3) of the Basel Evangelical Missionary Society Incorporation Ordinance, 1927, Ordinance No. 5 of 1927, that satis- factory proof of the appointment of Mr. ARTHUR RITZ as President in this Colony of the Basel Evangelical Missionary Society has been placed in the hands of His Excellency the Governor.

No. 264.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. LAM HEUNG LUN to be a Justice of the Peace for the Colony of Hong Kong.

No. 265.-Notice is hereby given of the accession of this Colony to the Interna- tional Convention relating to International Exhibitions signed at Paris on the 22nd November, 1928. Copy of the Convention may be inspected at the Colonial Secretary's Office.
