No. 84.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. SIDNEY HERBERT STRANGE to be "Forest Officer for the control and superintendence of the forests of the Colony, in succession to Mr. JAMES JOHN HIRST deceased, with effect from 2nd February, 1931.

In pursuance of the powers given under Section 29 Sub-section 5 of "The Merchant Shipping (Convention) Act, 1914", His Majesty by and with the advice of His Privy Council ordered that the provisions of the Merchant Shipping (Convention) Act, 1914, should be postponed from coming into operation until the 1st day of January, 1932.
