2. The Minutes of the Meeting held on the 4th December, 1930, were confirmed.

3. The following papers were laid on the table :-

Regulation made by the Governor in Council under section 3 (1) of the Opium

Ordinance, 1923, on 2nd December, 1930.

Resolution passed by the Legislative Council under section 31 (1) of the Rating

Ordinance, 1901, on 4th December, 1930.

Notification under section 31 (1) of the Rating Ordinance, 1901.

Anglo-Italian Agreement re Passenger Ship Certificates and Emigrant Ship

Regulations.

Order made by the Governor in Council under section 3 of the Dogs Ordinance,

1927, on 8th December, 1930.

REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE.

4. The Colonial Secretary laid on the table the Report of the Finance Committee

(No. 16), dated the 4th December, 1930, and moved its adoption.

The Colonial Treasurer seconded.

Question-put and agreed to.

MOTIONS.

5. Crown Lands Resumption Amendment Bill.-The Attorney General moved the Second reading of the Bill intituled “An Ordinance to amend the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance, 1900."

The Colonial Secretary seconded.

Question-put and agreed to.

Bill read a second time.

Council in Committee on the Bill.

On Council resuming, the Attorney General reported that the Bill had passed through Committee without amendment and moved that it be read a third time.

The Colonial Secretary seconded.

Question-put and agreed to.

Bill read a third time and passed.

6. Entertainments Tax Bill.--The Attorney General moved the Second reading of the Bill intituled "An Ordinance to impose Duties in respect of admission to Entertainments.”

The Colonial Secretary seconded.
