An Ordinance to consolidate and amend the law relating to Places of Public Entertain-

ment.

[31st October, 1919.]

Short title.

Inter- pretation.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Places of Public Entertainment Regulation Ordinance, 1919.

2. In this Ordinance or any regulation made there- under, unless the context otherwise requires :-

Entertainment" includes any concert, stage play, stage performance, cinematograph dis- play, exhibition of dancing, conjuring, or juggling, acrobatic performance, boxing con- test, or circus, or any other entertainment of a similar character.
